Hello Slow Down Society!
I hope your week has started off nicely.
The newest episode of the podcast is out and I have titled it, “Becausing.”
How often do you find yourself “becausing” throughout your day?
Do you say things to yourself such as, “I’m going to eat this brownie because I went to the gym this morning?”
or
it’s okay that I yelled at my husband just now because he always forgets to put the peanut butter away?
or
I’m going to take a long lunch and meet up with an old friend because I got into work early today?
We all do this.
and I’m not going to ask that you stop, because (ha! there it is again!!!) that wouldn’t be a practical suggestion.
Instead, I’d like for you to begin to pay attention.
Are you using because as an excuse?
as a justification?
has it become a habit to feel as if you need to qualify all of your thoughts, statements, and actions?
Take a listen — I’d love to hear your thoughts about this.
other episodes to check out:
xoxo lots of love to you.
I think you are wonderful.
