Do Not Settle.

Hi there, Slow Down Society.

I am thinking of you, and hope you are well.

Let’s do a check in. How are you doing?

No, *really*.

How are you doing??

Growing up, my husband heard the phrase, “that is sufficient”

often. It was probably because he grew up in a house with 4 boys, and they were monitoring the food intake — so instead of heaping food onto their plates, they were asked to take a “sufficient” amount.

He told me, early on in our marriage, that he hated that word.

I’ve come to hate it too. It’s horrible! Why on earth would anybody want to be “sufficient” in any part of their lives?

who grows up wishing to have a “sufficient” home
or an “average” marriage?

who would daydream about taking a “good enough” vacation or strive for their kids to have “just okay” opportunities?

You deserve to carve and mold and craft out the LIFE of your DREAMS.

We are now in a brand new month.

Were you able to stick to your January goals??

if not, why not

When you get good at envisioning the future — when you realize that you really are the Puppet Master of your own life — that you are IN CHARGE

nothing is impossible.

If you haven’t already done so, this is the time to really and truly take stock of the Here and Now

because if you don’t like what you see when you look in the mirror, or step on the scale, or look at your bank balance, or when you look around at the people in your life —

We Should Do Something About It.

I am VERY HAPPY to report that all of my goals were met in January, and I took February 1st off to celebrate.

?

because I teach the Peace Pyramid and live by those principles, my month started off with certain goals in each of the portions.

this is my end result:

Time Management: ?
get up early and “work” on my business for 2 hours a day. Go to bed early. (??)

Health:
do a Dry January, get in average of 15k steps a day, do not drink any calories at all (??)

Finances:
I had a certain monetary goal in my business. And I met it! (actually I surpassed it by $1,089.81!) (??)

Organization:
rearranged and decluttered the garage (again!) to make room for the new treadmill (also a health bonus!) and create a new stone path in the front yard. (??)

Relationships:
talk to friends each day — Jen#1 in the am on the way to work, Jen#2 on the way home from work

check in with my mom & brother at least 2-3 times a week, re-instate dates with Adam, connect with each kid one-on-one once a day, truly listen to them, schedule a valentine’s day weekend getaway. (??)

Peace:
long walks with Sheldon, bubble baths, give myself regular mani-pedis, goof off by watching trashy Bravo tv, listen to uplifting podcasts, check in with my longterm coaching clients, get a pep-talk/boost from my own coach
(??)

here is the thing — you absolutely DESERVE to live out the life of your dreams.
