Hi there Slow Down Society and welcome back for another podcast episode.
Within this episode of our Slow Parenting Series we are talking about Emotional Regulation and how we can teach this to our children.
To be able to teach emotional regulation to your kids you first need to be able to self-regulate your own emotions.
It is not healthy for children to be in an environment that their caretakers lash out in ways that they can’t expect. So you need to take a minute a look within!
Where you are is where you are, where you are is not where you want to be and where you want to go. Slow living is about taking steps to get to where you want to go.
How do you teach emotional regulation to your kids if your not emotionally regulated yourself?
How to implement in your own family?
Let’s talk about how you can regulate your emotions so that you can be the best version of yourself to teach your own children.
Within this episode I share:
☁️ a 3-part breathing exercise to help get your kids grounded when they are super amped up
☁️ how schools teach SEL (social emotional learning)
☁️ exercises I’m learning in my yoga teacher certification training
☁️ curriculum that schools use to teach Emotional Regulation
