Today, we’re exploring a topic that so many of us can relate to: feelings of unworthiness.

 

I’ll be honest—I still struggle with these feelings. There are days when I catch myself thinking: “I haven’t done enough,” “my ideas aren’t fresh enough,” or even “my clothes aren’t right for this situation.”

The good news?

These feelings happen less and less as the years go by, and I’m here to encourage you to take the same journey.

 

 

If unworthiness is something you’re wrestling with, I encourage you to poke at it.

Yes, it’s uncomfortable—like crawling through a mucky swamp or climbing a mountain straight out of an episode of Dora the Explorer.

But the only way to get to the other side is to go through it.

 

In this episode, I’m sharing:

  • –> Why it’s essential to lean into the discomfort, even when it feels overwhelming.
  • –> Encouragement to start your own journey through the “swamp” of self-doubt.

Within this episode I also talk a bit about Control and we explore whether or not you may identify with some “control freak” tendencies.

If you are feeling as if there is a Right and a Wrong way to do things — most things — than you may want to do some inner work to see where that stems from.

for many of us, feelings of inadequacy stem from a Control-Type person in our life who constantly pointed out the things we were doing wrong.

If this is you, now, with your kids — think about this and whether or not you want to perpetuate this in your own home.

It’s okay to pivot and decide on purpose to chart a new path so you and your kids have a better relationship than you did with your own parents.
