Hi there, Slow Down Society.

Last week I asked if you were a perfectionist.

This week I’m going to ask if you are a people pleaser because many times, these two things go hand-in-hand.

Are you a people pleaser?

In today’s episode, we’re taking a deep dive into what people pleasing means and how you might be sabotaging your own needs, wants, goals, and dreams because you are too focused on keeping OTHER people happy.

So let’s figure this out — do you think you are a people pleaser? And is that really bad?

Many of us find ourselves in roles, like customer service, that require pleasing others. But does that mean we’re truly people pleasers? Not necessarily.

In this episode, we’re exploring the difference between being helpful and falling into the trap of people pleasing. For some, the need to please others stems from a fear of failure or a desire to avoid guilt—feelings that can take a toll on your mental health and self-worth.

Here’s what we cover:

  • What is People Pleasing? Understanding its roots and how it can impact your life.

  • The Difference Between Helping and Pleasing: Why offering help doesn’t have to mean compromising yourself.

  • How to Overcome People Pleasing: Practical steps to break free from this habit.

  • Protecting Your Boundaries: How to prioritize your needs while still being kind and supportive.

Ready to let go of people pleasing and reclaim your time, energy, and confidence? Tune in for actionable tips to protect your boundaries and rediscover your self-worth.

Okay pretty people, this is it for me for today.
This Thursday is Thanksgiving — and for many of us, this begins the season of self-sacrifice.
My wish for you is to be thankful for YOU.

Every bitty bit of you is wonderful and I want you to love yourself so fiercely and so deeply that you don’t forget that YOU matter and no one can stomp on your dreams, wishes, goals, or whims.

Lots of love to you.
I think you are wonderful.

xoxo steph
