Have you ever had a great big juicy goal and it came true and instead of being over-the-moon excited and exhilarated you were left feeling a bit deflated and defeated?
This is because we have the false notion that achieving a certain goal or milestone is going to magically make life better —
but really, the only way to actually make life BETTER is to do so in a calm, collected, and methodical way — not in one magical day or one-time instance.
And this is what we are going to talk about today.
Now don’t get me wrong — I WANT you to have goals.
I spend a lot of time speaking, teaching, writing, and sharing how to make your goals come true —
However, sometimes people can get caught up in a Hustle Culture trying to achieve their goals. Which in the end, leads to unhappiness.
Today we are talking about:
- What happens once you achieve your goals?
- What is arrival fallacy?
- What is wrong with S.M.A.R.T. goals?
One of the most important things that I want you to take away from today’s episode is, don’t tie your self worth to your goals.
Happiness and self worthiness are not on the other side of goal achievement, so stop the hustle culture and achieve goals in a healthy manner.
