Hello hello, Slow Down Society, and happy Tuesday — I hope your week has gotten off to a lovely start.

Who does yoga? In this newest episode of the Slow Living podcast I share how I got started doing yoga regularly, why I fell in love with it, and a few stories from my teens, twenties, and thirties.;-)

Today we are talking about one of my favorite things to do for my own physical and mental health… YOGA! It has taken me many years to embrace yoga but has truly transformed both my mind and body.

I took my first yoga class when I was only 18 years old. A friend and I decided to try hot yoga and we soon realized that it was not for the faint of heart. Needless to say we did not make it through the entire class. But this started my wellness journey.

I always looked at exercise as a way to keep my body looking a certain way. Through my 20-30s exercise was just something that I did, it was not a mind and body connection. I tried light weight training which led to high interval training. But ultimately I felt that disconnect between my mind and body.

Since then I have rediscovered yoga and it has been a fantastic way to stay present and healthy.

I also share a stupid acronym that makes no sense to anyone, how Barry Bonds ended up buying steroids at the gym I used to belong to and a caveat about how Bikram Choudhary is a predator.

This is a jam-packed episode!
