Hello hello, Slow Down Society!
I hope you are doing well.
I wanted to share a new podcast interview with you today in in it I share a bit about how I struggle with anxiety (I’ll discuss more about this next week).
I can’t be the only one who struggles with stress and anxiety, right?
There are many techniques that help to control some of it, but what happens when it builds up and leads to something bigger? Do you ever find yourself in the middle of a panic attack with no way to calm yourself?
In this newest episode I chat with the woman behind @mycalmigo !
Adi Wallach is an inventor, who through her own struggles created a drug-free way to deal with anxiety.
Adi started experiencing panic attacks and tried different techniques to calm them; including yoga, therapy, relaxation techniques, and diet changes.
While she benefited from all of them, she found that nothing helped her while she was having a panic attack.
Adi did not want to rely on medications and their side effects, so she set out to create a product that could help!
Starting with research, she discovered what methods helped during a panic attack.
She used these to create CalmiGo, which is available for adults and children 6 years and up.
Parents are excited for a drug-free solution to help children with their stress and anxiety — I can absolutely see how this would be immensely beneficial to young children to help teach breathing techniques.
—>I’d love to hear from you — do you have bouts of anxiety?
What did you think about this episode?
One of my favorite ways to calm my anxiety or to help keep it at bay is with journaling.
If you haven’t made journaling a daily practice and you still feel a bit floundery and frantic, I urge you to give it a try.
You can download the Daily Work journaling worksheet, here. (just print page 4.) 🙂
