I am THRILLED to announce that we have just surpassed the 70,000 download mark for the Slow Living podcast.

WOW!! That’s so mind-blowing to me that somehow my words got into 70,000 different ears (wait, would that be 140,000 ears?) —

ANYWAY.

Thank you. Thank you for being here and thank you for listening and recommending to your friends —

I’m truly touched.

TODAY: today I want to talk about YOU — and essentially — those of YOU who have always wanted to write a book.

Because according to my inbox — there are actually a lot of you out there, lurking!
😉

In this episode I share my publishing stories.

Each book I’ve written has a slightly different story — but the fact is that it wasn’t something that just “happened” —

I’ve had the idea that I was a writer who wanted to write books since childhood.

When I was in my very early twenties I began querying literary agents and it took close to 5 years of “NOs” before I got my first YES.

And then I got fired from that publisher.

?

Listen in as I share the formula and path that I took to find my first literary agent, how I kept going even when it seemed like it wouldn’t ever work and how even though I THINK I’m pretty smart, I still fell for a scam.

I also share the exact numbers I’ve gotten for advances, because I know a few of you were wondering.

?

Take a listen and LMK your thoughts —

Do you have a book in you?

This is the nonfiction book proposal guide that I mention in this episode.

and this is the Steve Scott 21 Days to a nonfiction book I used for my self-published Amazon books.

If you want to write Fiction — go back and listen to Ruth’s story from episode 75!

as always, consider yourself loved and hugged.

I think you are wonderful.
