Episode 54 of the Slow Living Podcast: SMART Goals are Stupid

see all Slow Living Podcast notes, here

Hi there and thanks for being here for another episode of the Slow Living Podcast.

If you’ve been here for a while and have read my writing, you will know that I am a HUGE proponent of Goal Setting and Achieving.

When I want something, I go out and make it happen.

I really do.

🙂

BUT I HATE S.M.A.R.T. goals.

??  ??  ??

Mostly because I don’t like being told what to do. Even if the somebody doing the telling is me.

🙂

In this episode we talk about making goals that FEEL good — and that you are DRAWN towards — rather than being pushed into.

Trust me, it is a MUCH better feeling to spring out of bed in the morning and be excited to take on the day because you are just so gosh darn thrilled to make forward progress on whatever it is you’re working on —

then to feel drudgery in your body.

Listen in as I explain the ins and outs of making things happen

without the Hustle or the Hype.

I promise, you can live out the life of your dreams — in a Slow, Calm, and Peaceful way — and still make amazing forward progress in your personal and life goals.

Listen in — and LMK your thoughts!!

We are in the downward ski-slope part of the calendar year. Are you in need of a mindset shift and upgrade?
Put yourself on my calendar at stephanieodea.com/mindset and together we can work towards finishing up this year super strong.

So think about it — if you’ve been practicing SMART goals for a while, maybe it’s time to try something different.
Stupid Advice made up by Business Men in the 70s, 80s, and 90s might not be applicable for you.

It certainly doesn’t work for me.

BUT, I know how to make things happen.

Take a listen, and let me know your thoughts.

lots of love to you. I think you are wonderful.
