Hi there and thanks for being here for another episode of the Slow Living Podcast.
It’s my baby’s birthday today.
She is 21.
She was my first baby — and she taught me all about what unconditional love truly means and what parenting when you are tired is all about.
And that’s because she never ever ever slept. 😉
(although she is sound asleep right now, while I’m typing this out. SO — if you are in the trenches of early motherhood right now, please trust me that Sleep will come your way. I promise)
This is ALSO the 1-year birthday of the Slow Living Podcast.
and today’s topic is about the Power of Consistency. And consistency is an AWFUL LOT LIKE PARENTING WHEN YOU ARE TIRED.
You just do the thing you said you were going to do, even when you don’t feel like it.
even when you’re tired.
even if it isn’t your “best work” —
and trust that just by taking the teeny tiny baby steps forward, no matter what those steps look like, will get you where you want to go.
I promise you that I am no different and no better than you.
I get tired and I get cranky and I would much rather curl up on the couch and binge-watch Southern Charm and yell at Shep and Craig —
but.
I promised myself and I promised YOU that I would keep showing up and recording these podcasts and I promised my coaching clients that I would keep listening and advising and helping and supporting.
So I keep doing the things I said I would do.
Consistency is my super power.
