Hi there, and thanks for being here for another episode of the Slow Living Podcast.
Who here wants to be More Productive?
It really sounds backwards, right, to be talking about doing MORE or being MORE while on a list about Slow Living?
I know.
Hear me out.
If you’ve been following along for the past 48 weeks, you know that living a SLOW LIFE doesn’t mean that you are lazing around the house eating bon-bons and watching life pass you by.
No.
Being Intentionally Slow means that you are taking the time to cull the things from your day-to-day life that no longer serve you and you are Making a PLAN to do the things that you WANT to do —
and you’re not just doing the things that you Have to do or the things that you think you “SHOULD” be doing —
and when you do these things — the WANT-TO-DOs — it feels pretty darn good.
but sometimes?
part of being an adult is just getting to work. Because you’ve got to pay bills, keep milk in the fridge, etc. etc.
and that is what we are going to talk about today.

In this episode we talk about what it means to be productive vs being busy —
you can do a bunch of things each day and be busy — but that might not be moving you forward —
and spinning your wheels IS NOT FUN.
and it doesn’t feel good.
But taking teeny tiny baby steps forward each day towards your hopes, dreams, and longterm goals? That feels AMAZING.
I also explain (again!) that you are not spreadsheet. It’s okay to not be 100% each day — you are human. And humans have good days and bad days and super cranky days.
Listen to your brain. Listen to your body.
We also talk about the reality that working hard and being productive does not equal more money or more worthiness.
