Wednesday, July 17, 2013.  This giveaway is now over.  Thanks for all of your comments!  The winner has been randomly chosen and notified by email.  Congratulations Darlene S!

Summertime means more time in the beautiful sunshine.  Laying by the pool, hiking, biking, gardening and more!  All of the extra time in the sun can, unfortunately, mean more sun damage for your skin.  Most dermatologists recommend wearing sunscreen EVERYDAY, even when you’re not in the sun!

So what happens if you are sensitive or allergic to the chemicals in “normal” sunscreens?  What if you don’t want to cover yourself with those chemicals everyday and are looking for a more natural alternative?

Goddess Garden Organics All Natural Sunscreens can help!  First, a little about how Goddess Garden began.

From the Goddess Garden website:

Goddess Garden, a Boulder-based skincare company, was founded in 2004 by Nova Covington, entrepreneur and mom. As a new mother, Nova was inspired to create organic skincare products initially for her daughter Paige, who was allergic to chemicals in traditional bath products. Motivated to develop safe skincare solutions, Nova launched natural products using pure minerals zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the active agents for sun protection — the highest organic content of any sunscreen on the market.

Goddess Garden Organics All Natural Sunscreen is non-greasy and sheer, unlike a lot of other natural sunscreens I have tried.   These sunscreens are gluten-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and non-GMO.  They do not contain animal products and are not tested on animals so they are cruelty free!

I really love these sunscreens.  They have a pleasant smell and soak into your skin without feeling greasy or leaving a white residue.

  14. I think I will buy some online. One of my twins gets dry spots on her face from sunblock but with her fair skin she needs to wear it. She certainly would look better without the dry splotches on her face!
